How It Works

We’ve broken the career exploration process into 9 easy steps. When you work with your CDC career advisor, you’ll focus on steps 1-5 to find your unique career path. You’ll zero in on steps 5-9 once you’ve chosen a major and begin working with your specialized career center.

Think of career exploration as an ongoing process rather than a one-and-done exercise. Though it begins your first year at IU, you’ll use its guiding principles for the rest of your life.
