Stacey is from Martinsville, Indiana, and attended IUPUI for her undergraduate degree in Applied Mathematics. Though she loved Mathematics and has always been a Purdue fan, she went to Indiana University to pursue a Master’s Degree in Higher Education and Student Affairs. She was drawn to working in higher education because of her amazing experiences as an undergraduate student. During graduate school, she worked as an academic advisor in University College at IUPUI and completed internships at Marian University and Ivy Tech Community College. In her free time, Stacey enjoys spending time with friends, watching Jeopardy, cooking, and enjoying the great outdoors.
Best Career Blunder
I worked for a few semesters grading calculus quizzes in college.
I loved working out the math problems and seeing students’ interesting solutions, but I found that grading consistently across 100+ quizzes was quite the challenge!
You don’t have to absolutely love every aspect of a job to gain valuable skills.
