The Career Development Center collaborates with organizations and offices across campus to bring students the best opportunities. Check out upcoming events below.

  • New premed students at IU Bloomington should plan to attend this Orientation Meeting featuring Rachel Tolen, Health Professions and Prelaw Center Assistant Director and Premedical Advisor. This meeting is intended for freshman premed students, or any student at IU Bloomington considering the possibility of preparing for medical school admission. Find out the important steps you should take if you want to prepare for a career as a physician.

  • Calling all undergraduates interested in the pharmaceutical industry. This is a great opportunity to learn about the Lilly Internship Program prior to the start of heavy recruiting season and career fairs in September. Open to all majors!

  • Get off to a good start and attend this orientation meeting for new predental students. Amanda Posto, Prehealth Advisor, will discuss predental coursework, gaining dental experience, volunteering, developing manual dexterity skills, studying for the DAT, and how to prepare to apply to dental school. Any student thinking about a career in dentistry is welcome to attend.

  • Greg Canada, the dynamic Dean of Admissions for IUB Maurer, will provide a solid, practical, and entertaining presentation on how to position yourself to be the best prepared applicant possible. Representatives of HPPLC will highlight the many services available to prelaw students at IU.

  • O'Neill Career Fairs are open to all students!

  • A career as a physician assistant can be satisfying on multiple levels.  Preparing for that career also has multiple dimensions.  David Owen will introduce those various dimensions at this orientation.

  • If you are interested in Optometry as a career, this is a meeting to attend.  Kevin Schmidt, Associate Director of Student Services, Indiana University School of Optometry and David Owen, Health Professions Advisor, will talk about the career of optometry, and preparing yourself for it academically and personally.
