Equity & Inclusion

Equity & Inclusion

Know and demonstrate practices that create equitable and inclusive spaces for all, regardless of sex, gender, religion, class, local and global culture or custom. Engage in personal practices that promote an understanding of how prejudice has impacted those it has touched, and how breaking those barriers can create more equal opportunities for others.

A person with equity & inclusion skills will:

  • Solicit and use feedback from multiple cultural perspectives to make inclusive and equity-minded decisions.
  • Advocate for inclusion, equitable practices, justice, and empowerment for historically marginalized communities.
  • Keep an open mind to diverse ideas and new ways of thinking.
  • Identify resources and eliminate barriers resulting from individual and systemic racism, inequities, and biases.
